Evolv has their CSA A277 certification, while Knightway Developments provides the 2-5-10 New Home Warranty through Travelers Insurance., and their Building and Developer Licensed from BC Housing so that we are the One-Stop-Shop.

We intimately understand transport and installation, as well as the construction process in building everything from commercial office portables to finely finished custom homes, and for that reason we decided to offer the full package from building / development permits to a turn-key move in ready home / structure. We have designed our building to be durable during transport, systematically designed for consistent air and vapour tightness, and aesthetically appealing that that it can be enjoyed my numerous generations and owners. 

We believe in factory built for a variety of reasons, but a few reasons we chose this is because building inside controlled environments ensures accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.

We have unique access to an inventory of used modular and portable homes and buildings.

Not all homes are ready for the landfill and not every person is ready or wants a brand new building on their land. That is why we provide options for used mobile / manufactured homes and portable buildings. We have unique access to these types of inventories hitting the market as well as 26 acres of industrial land that can store these buildings until they are ready for their new owners.

There is plenty of nuance that is involved in determining whether a home is worth salvaging. Because we have viewed thousands of homes we have a keen eye for those buildings that are worth keeping around. Click this LINK for a video on things to look for before buying a use mobile home or manufactured home. Things that we look at are the structural integrity of the walls and roof. Dated electrical wire and other defects that can be costly to repair. Plumbing has an array of potential issues and most notably polybutylene (Poly-B) piping. Lastly, older and poorly maintained buildings can present with issues of mold and rot that compromise structural integrity and personal health.

There is lots to know about used and older homes and their certifications as well. A home that does not have a CSA Z240 / A277 doesn’t necessarily mean that it isn’t valuable, but it does mean that it can only go to a handful of locations inside a municipality. It might also mean that you will need to employ an electrician so that you can get your building a Silver Label Certification.

Buying a used home provides you an affordable option to enter the housing market, or to set up a mortgage helper on your property. It might be the only ‘attainable or affordable’ housing on the market, and for this reason we believe in it and see the value to keep them in the market versus headed to the landfill.

Sell a Building.

Used mobile home sold, transportation and installation by Knightway Mobile Haulers.

Not all used manufactured or mobile homes, or portable office structures are destined for landfill.

It can be a tricky and time-consuming process to remove manufactured / mobile homes, or portable structures off of your property and if you, or the buyer you have lined up, aren’t aware of the nuances of home registration, relocation permitting, and property zoning, you can end up wasting months trying to arrange the removal of the building. We buy mobile homes, modular, and commercial portable offices all the time. We also take them off of people and either sell them via consignment or purchase them outright, removing them from their property and selling them on our own site. Our primary aim is to make it as easy on you as possible. 

An unwanted mobile home can be a liability to your property. Many times, municipalities want these homes removed before Development and Building Permits can be issued. We make this easy for people as we have the land where we can properly store these buildings till they are ready to be moved to their new location. 

Getting a home off your property can be a lengthy and expensive undertaking. Many times, the new buyers cannot apply for a building permit till they have ownership of these mobile home. Typically, you cannot move these homes onto your property until these permits have been approved. Other times homes are NOT fit for transportation and at that point either structural reinforcing needs to happen or the home is in fact ready for the landfill. For instance, by us taking a mobile home off of your lot, it usually saves you from having to do a demolition permit, which can be lengthy process.
